Rev Dr. David Jackson of Philos Project joined Juandolyn on, OPWJS to discuss his role as Associate Director of African-American Affairs at the Philos Project, a project he is alumni of himself. The Christian-based organization focuses on positive engagement in the near east.
Dr. Jackson is an expert on issues in the east between the Israelis and the Palestinians, two groups who have been at odds with each other for many years largely over land issues. Dr. Jackson said one thing the adversaries agree on is that they both want peace, but they cannot agree on how that can best be obtained.
He adds while a two-state solution sounds attractive on its face, there are deeper issues that make that solution possible. Unfortunately, most listeners were very combative with Dr. Jackson and his position about his work, however it did make for quite a lively and engaging show.
