
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A teenager and a pre-teen were wounded in a shooting Tuesday evening outside of a West Side public library, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened outside the Legler Regional Public Library at 100 S. Pulaski Road in the West Garfield Park community.
It was a little after 5:30 p.m. when someone began shooting, and police said 12-year-old and 16-year-old boys were wounded.
The 12-year old was struck in the lower back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition. The 16-year old was shot in a leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
