3-year-old boy shot inside South Side home, CPD says

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police said a 3-year-old boy was shot Saturday afternoon inside of a Calumet Heights home.

Police said the boy was shot in the face at about 3:40 p.m. in the 8800 block of South Euclid Avenue. Additional details were not released about how the shooting happened.

The 3-year-old was transported to Jackson Park Hospital and transferred to Comer Children’s Hospital.

Chicago police said he was initially reported in serious condition.

No one is in custody. Area Three detectives are investigating.
