CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A woman was robbed late Tuesday night on the North Side, and police said her attackers used an unusual kind of weapon.
Chicago police said a woman was standing on the sidewalk in the 500 block of Wrightwood Avenue shortly before midnight when two males approached and threatened her with a golf club.
One of the suspects wielded the club while the other stole her purse. Both men took off in a white car.
The woman was not injured, and police said no one was in custody.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
