ANTIOCH (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A ten-year-old boy is in the hospital after being thrown from a carnival ride in far northern Antioch Sunday.
The boy was initially in critical condition when he was airlifted to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, after Antioch Police said he was apparently thrown from a ride at around 2:40 p.m..
The village’s mayor ordered the rest of the rides at the Taste of Antioch Carnival to be shut down amid a safety review.
The Moby Dick ride is a platform ride that whips riders in a circular motion. All Around Amusement out of Lockport said you must be 42-inches tall to go on the ride.
