(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Some downtown businesses are looking forward to cashing in as Lollapalooza returns to Chicago for the first time since 2019.
At Millers Pub on Wabash, co-owner Aris Galios thinks the four-day festival will be bringing in the numbers.

"We've been building up our food and liquor stock and just trying to staff," Galios told WBBM's Brandon Ison.
Nearby on Adams, the manager of the independently owned Rosati’s said they will have an increased inventory of pizza slices already boxed up and ready to go.
"We've doubled our staff," said Joann. "I think it might spike on Friday, mostly. Thursday's going to be, like, kind of same-old, same-old. And then Friday and Saturday it's going to be, like, busy, busy."
On the same block, JJ Fish and Chicken manager Joseph said they're adding an additional shift on top of increasing staff and inventory.
And even Charlie, the guy that sells bottled water for a dollar on the sidewalk outside the Art Institute, will be upping his stock.
"I will have four or five cases," said Charlie.
Lollapalooza starts Thursday and is expected to be back at full capacity, with roughly 100,000 daily attendees. After missing last summer because of the coronavirus, it will easily be Chicago's -- and the country's -- largest gathering since the pandemic started.
To gain entry, attendees will have to present their vaccination cards or a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 test that is no more than 72 hours old. Anyone who isn't vaccinated will have to wear a mask.
