CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Navy Pier — or, at least some of it — is open, and people are back.
The big crowds haven’t come back yet. But the people who are here say they have missed Navy Pier.
Like Cherie Baker, who came here with her daughter because they wanted to be here on reopening day, which was Friday.
“Awesome," she said.
The vendors are really glad to see people again.
Like Amy Mostaccio. She’s been working at the same company — at the Completely Nuts kiosk — since 1996.
Said Mostaccio: “Putting out my sign that says we’re open today was the most exciting thing that I have done in awhile because on this beautiful blue sky day, what more could you ask for?”
