CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Chicago police officer who shot to death a 22-year old Northwest Side man nearly two months ago reportedly is under investigation for a road rage incident just one week ago.
Video posted on social media shows a uniformed off-duty Chicago police officer with his gun out during a confrontation with another driver in the Logan Square neighborhood.
Block Club Chicago identified the officer as Evan Solano, the same officer who shot to death Anthony Alvarez in the Portage Park neighborhood March 31.
Witnesses said the driver of a white SUV had confronted Solano, who at first was sitting in his red Mustang.
The witnesses said the SUV driver had a knife attached to his pants but did not grab it.
Block Club Chicago said the Bureau of Internal Affairs is investigating the incident while the Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating the Alvarez shooting.
