CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago Transit Authority is getting into the spirit of Pride Month.

The CTA has wrapped an eight-car train with the colors of the pride flag, with the addition of black and brown stripes, created in Philadelphia and known as the Philly Flag, along with the colors of the transgender flag.

“The Pride Train is a colorful reminder that transit is for everyone,” said CTA President Dorval R. Carter, Jr. in a statement.

“We are a progressive and open-minded organization that has long supported equality and inclusion, and we want all our riders and employees to know that no matter who they love or how they identify, they are welcomed at the CTA.”

The CTA was the first transit agency to do this when it started in 2017. The Pride Train is running on the Red Line.
