Bears CB Jaylon Johnson questionable, LB T.J. Edwards doubtful vs. Vikings

(670 The Score) The Bears have listed Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson as officially questionable for Monday night's game against the Vikings, while linebacker T.J. Edwards is doubtful to play.

Johnson returned to practice this week after dealing with injuries to his groin and calf. He was a limited participant in work all week. The Bears would likely turn to veteran cornerback Nahshon Wright in Johnson's place if he cannot play.

“Whenever a guy misses that significant amount of time, you're very cautious in making sure that injury doesn't reoccur again,” Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Tuesday. “I know he's feeling significantly better than obviously he was from the start. We'll see what he looks like moving around and hopefully take it from there. I know he's excited to get back out with his teammates here soon.”

Edwards suffered a hamstring injury during practice two weeks ago. He has not returned to practice since. The Bears would likely turn to rookie Ruben Hyppolite and third-year linebacker Noah Sewell in place of Edwards.

The Bears listed running back Roschon Johnson (toe) and cornerback Josh Blackwell (groin) as questionable to play.

The Bears and Vikings kick off the 2025 season at 7:15 p.m. CT Monday night from Soldier Field.
