(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A familiar face and veteran actress is back in Chicago and co-starring in a powerful new play.

Judy Greer is appearing in “Another Marriage” at the new in-the-round Ensemble Theatre at Steppenwolf. Because of strong ticket sales, the play has been extended by a week through July 30.

For Greer, the stop is partly an opportunity to revisit Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University before launching a successful film and TV career that includes the recent streaming series “Reboot,” two of Marvel’s Ant Man and Wasp movies, “Jurassic World” and voice work in animated series such as “American Dad!” and “Bo-Jack Horseman.”

Greer says performing at the legendary theater company is a dream come true. Now that performances are underway, she says she has had a chance to explore Chicago and host friends.

“I’m spending a lot of time doing touristy things. Of course, I’m desperate to always go and identify all the places I used to go, mostly bars, I’ll be honest,” Greer tells WBBM Newsradio’s Lisa Fielding.

“So, I’ve been doing my own version of sightseeing – the History of Judy in Chicago Tour.”

Described as an unconventional love story, “Another Marriage” is written by Steppenwolf ensemble member Kate Arrington and is directed by ensemble member Terry Kinney. Joining Greer onstage are ensemble members Ian Barford, Tim Hopper and Caroline Neff and Nicole Scimeca.
