CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Now that masks are not required everywhere, many people are wondering if those going without are actually vaccinated. A North Suburban gift shop owner is offering a way to help navigate that.

At Raven and Dove and the Porcelain Doctor, both in Evanston, Randi Schwartz is selling one- or two-inch buttons or pins she got from a West Coast supplier think like a political button you’d get for a candidate that reads “vaccinated.”

“These vaccinated pins are so beautiful,” Schwartz told WBBM Newsradio.

Schwartz said the first batch of about 70 sold out in three days.  She’s ordered plenty more and said the response at her gift shop has been overwhelmingly positive and she understands her customer base.

“Yeah, definitely Evanston. It’s a different world. And my boyfriend says I live in a bubble. Well, I guess I like the bubble,” Schwartz saiid.

She said the other store owners on Central street also appreciate the pins as they see people walking around without masks.
