CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An Indiana man is facing aggravated battery and weapon charges in connection with a December shooting in Lawndale.

Byron Williams, of Indianapolis, was arrested Tuesday after he was identified as the person who shot a 27-year-old man Dec. 5 in the 700 block of South Pulaski Road, Chicago police said.

That day, Williams, 39, allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the man in the thigh after an argument, police said.

He was charged one count each of aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon, police said. He is due back in court Saturday.
