The Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Valparaiso, Indiana is welcoming the return of a baby garter snake, after it went missing for a month.

The center said the tiny baby garter snake is safe and secure, after he went missing about a month ago after squeezing out of his container.

In a social media post, the rehab center said a staff member spotted the snake in the turtle room hiding in a tiny crack in the wall. It finally reappeared three hours later.

The center said the snake has been moved to a hopefully secure enclosure and will be released once temperatures are a little warmer.
