CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago burger joint has made the latest list of top burgers in the nation.

Ranking No. 7 in Gayot's list of the Best Burgers in the U.S. is Kuma's Corner, described by Gayot as "a casual, comfort food-centric watering hole with just the right amount of 'tude."

Kuma's Corner, located at 2900 W. Belmont Ave., is known for its heavy metal theme and features burgers named after various bands like the "Led Zeppelin" and the "Black Sabbath." It is also known for its namesake burger, "The Famous Kuma" featuring bacon, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a fried egg.

The chain also has restaurants in the West Loop, as well as in suburban Schaumburg and Vernon Hills. It has also branched out out-of-state with restaurants in Indianapolis and Denver.

Kuma's Corner was the only burger restaurant in the Midwest to place among the top nationwide, according to Gayot.

Ranking No. 1 is Becks Prime in Houston, Texas. The gourmet hamburger chain is famous for grounding certified Angus Beef on-site and has been open since 1985.

The Burger Joint, in New York City, and Cherry Cricket, in Denver, Colorado, round out the top three.
