CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A North Side home's doorbell camera captured a frightening afternoon robbery.
Chicago police said a 45-year-old woman was attacked and robbed in Lakeview Sunday afternoon while walking along the sidewalk on Seeley near George. The incident occurred right before 3 p.m., in broad daylight.
A nearby home’s Ring camera, a doorbell surveillance camera, showed the disturbing attack. A black sedan pulled near the walking woman. Three masked men wearing hoodies exited the car and then jumped the woman, tackling her to the ground, and robbing her. One of the suspects is seen displaying a gun. CWB Chicago said the men took the woman’s fanny pack, which held her wallet, keys, and phone, and then ran back into the black car and drove away.
