Logan Square woman in grave condition after house fire: CFD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 36-year-old woman was in grave condition following a house fire in Logan Square Sunday morning, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Fire officials said crews were called to the scene just before 6:45 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Harding Avenue for a fire coming from the basement.

Firefighters located a woman in the basement and immediately began CPR. The woman went into cardiac arrest, and she was taken to the hospital.

A dog was also injured in the fire. It was revived by first responders on the scene.

There is no word on what started the fire, and officials are investigating.
