
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday morning while he was stopped at a red light in River North, Chicago police said.
It happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. near Orleans Street and Chicago Avenue.
Police said the man was sitting inside the vehicle when an unknown suspect pulled up alongside him in a white SUV and began shooting.
The 24-year-old was struck multiple times, police said. He was transported to Northwestern Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Chicago police have no one in custody.
Area Three detectives are investigating the shooting.
