CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A man was found dead in a fire early Wednesday morning but fire may not be what killed him.
The Chicago Police Department said the man was found dead in a burning building shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday. The fire happened at 79th and Elizabeth in the Auburn Gresham community and police said it was later determined the man had been shot once in the head.
Now police have a homicide investigation underway while fire investigators try to determine the cause of the fire.
