CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating a string of armed robberies Sunday night on the Near Northwest Side.

Robbers hit four times within an hour in West Town and Noble Square.

Chicago police said at least three bars or liquor stores were targeted by two armed males between 10:25 and 11:09pm.

The first was at Division Street Liquors at Division and Wood, then Ola’s Liquors at Damen and Augusta and Chipp Inn near Chicago and Greenview.

Police said the thieves took cash and cell phones at the establishments, and, in between the last two, police said, they robbed a 40-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman on the sidewalk near Huron and Leavitt. No one was injured.

There were multiple liquor store, restaurant or bar robberies last Wednesday night as well.
