(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced child pornography charges have been filed against a 41-year-old Niles man.

Mark Kuehn, of the 6900 block of Rosemary Lane, has been ordered held on $300,000 bond on charges of possessing child pornography.

Cook County authorities said a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to Kuehn’s arrest Wednesday.

Authorities said they traced pornographic images of children under the age of 13 on a social media account, which police said belonged to Kuehn.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Kuehn admitted to using his cell phone to save pornographic images of children under the age of 13 from social media.

Investigators said forensic analysis of his cell phone revealed that he was in possession of nearly two dozen pornographic images of children as young as 5.
