CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police said a Black Label Limos party bus hit 13 cars in Lake View Saturday, not far from where the popular Market Days street fest was taking place.

The party bus was headed south on Broadway a little before 3 p.m. when the driver allegedly sideswiped several vehicles.

Jackson Wolle told CBS 2 he and his girlfriend narrowly avoided getting hit themselves.

“We had just gotten out of the car 30 seconds before,” Wolle said. “Pretty much we saw the driver coming, and he took off a mirror. [Wolle’s girlfriend] had walked up to the sidewalk to see what was going on, and I saw him backing up, so I pulled her away because I didn’t want her to get hit”

Johnna Armstrong-Watson, whose car was damaged, said she tried to warn others about the bus that kept barreling down Broadway.

“We were all yelling, ‘Watch out,’ because he was going so fast that he could have hit pedestrians as well,” Armstrong-Watson said.

Police arrested the 45-year-old driver a short time later.

No injuries were reported.

CBS2 reported the Black Label Limos bus was outside the 19th District Chicago Police Station with damage to its front and side.

Black Label Limos has not yet commented on the incident.
