CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A woman is hospitalized and fighting for her life after being left behind in a car accident Tuesday night, and police are looking for the driver.
Chicago police said the woman was found at the scene of a crash in the 1800 block of Peterson. According to police, she was a passenger in a jeep heading southbound on Ridge when the driver ran a red light and crashed into a concrete wall.
Investigators said the driver who they describe as a "female," then ran from the scene.
The 28-year-old passenger was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.
