CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One man is dead and another injured after a stabbing at a CTA station in the Loop Wednesday night.

Police were called to the Clark/Lake CTA station around 8 p.m. Officials said two men in their 30’s were arguing when one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other in the back.

The man who was first stabbed then grabbed the knife and stabbed the attacker in the neck.

Witness Sincere Smith told CBS 2 he had just gotten off the train when he saw the man lying on the platform.

“I got off the Green Line and I looked over there – you know, it was a crowd around him – and I’m like, man, is he dead?” Smith said.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed.
