Police issue alert after woman beaten, robbed in Beverly

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police have issued a community alert after a woman was beaten and robbed in Beverly on the Southwest Side last week.

The attack happened around 6 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of West 105th Street when several people wearing black ski masks jumped out of a gray Range Rover near a park and grabbed a woman, beat her and took her cellphone, Chicago police said.

The SUV was missing its rear license plate.
