(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two of the governmental agencies that have something to do with putting together your property tax bill in Cook County continue to point fingers over who is to blame for late bills.

In the next few weeks there’s supposed to be a hearing on getting tax bills out to property owners. In the meantime both Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi and Board of Review commissioner Larry Rogers blame each other’s agency for the delay and, according to the Tribune, Rodgers indicated the back-up in getting out bills could be six months.

County Board President Toni Preckwinkle wants all the bickering to stop. She said the blame for late bills is mainly technological and COVID-related.
