South Side driver fatally shot, passenger wounded: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are looking for the two people responsible for a shooting that left one man dead on the South Side Sunday night.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m., as a 29-year old man and 22-year old woman were driving down 62nd and Kimbark in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

Chicago police said two males walked towards the car and opened fire. The 29-year old driver was hit in his upper back. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died.

His passenger was shot twice but was listed in good condition. So far, no arrests.
