(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 46-year-old west suburban high school girls track coach is being held on a charge of possessing child pornography, and authorities say he admitted to paying dozens of underage girls for nude images.
Downers Grove South High School says in a letter to parents that so far, administrators do not believe any students in District 99 are victims of Glenn Messmer, an assistant girls track coach who has now resigned.
Federal prosecutors say Messmer's home in Darien was searched and images of child pornography were found, including files labeled PTHC, for "pre-teen hardcore."
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Messmer admitted to paying as many as 60 underage girls for nude photos. The federal complaint says in some cases, Messmer provided specific instructions on how he wanted the girls to pose.
