Teen brought gun, high-capacity magazine, armor-piercing bullets to school: police

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 14-year-old boy has been charged with bringing a loaded gun into Courtenay Language Arts Center in Uptown.

The teen was charged with possessing a concealed weapon, a high-capacity magazine and metal-piercing bullets, according to Chicago police.

He was arrested Wednesday in the 4400 block of North Beacon Street in Sheridan Park.

Courtenay Language Arts Center is for students pre-k through 8th grade.

No other information was released by police.
