(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are trying to figure out who killed three members of a family in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Officials said the victims included 81-year old Arteria Riley and her son and daughter, 65-year old Thomas Riley and 61-year old Reuben Riley. The mother had been shot in the head. The two others had been shot in their torsos. Chicago police spokesman Tom Ahern said the victims were found in a home on 113th and Green Tuesday afternoon.

“ Family members tried to get in touch with the mother. They were calling. There was no answer. They go to the house and they discover the three bodies in the house and they call the police,” said Ahern.

Area Two detectives are trying to determine who shot to death the three Rileys. They’re asking neighbors if they might have seen anything or have any doorbell video that may be helpful.
