CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- In the police body camera video released Thursday by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability, it does not appear 13-year-old Adam Toledo was holding a gun the moment he is shot by a Chicago police officer.
Police chase 13-year-old Adam Toledo and 21-year-old Ruben Roman down an alley in Little Village.
"Police. Stop. Stop right f***ing now. Hands. Show me your f***ing hands. Drop it," the officer chasing Adam can be heard in the body camera video.
The video does appear to show Toledo was holding a gun at some point, but in the freeze-frame a split-second later when he raises his hands to face the police, he does not appear to have a gun.
A gun is found later, some feet away.

After shooting Adam, the officer told him to "stay with me."
"Where were you shot, man? Where were you shot? Stay with me. Stay with me...Somebody bring the medical kit now...F***. I need a medical kit. A gunshot wound to the upper chest," the officer can be heard in the body camera video.
The officer performed chest compression while waiting for an ambulance to arrive, but Adam was unresponsive.
