INDIANAPOLIS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – An Indiana Chamber of Commerce competition to find the Coolest Thing Made in Indiana is down to 16 competitors.
When voting wraps up for the week on Sunday there will be eight contestants left in the Coolest Thing tournament.
Janus Motorcycles, located in the Northeast Indiana city of Goshen, is one of the businesses that made the Sweet 16 list.
General Manager Grant Longenbaugh told WSBT in South Bend, he’s in good company.
“Really cool companies like Hoosier Bat Company – because I’m a baseball guy, it was cool to see Hoosier Bat be nominated. Lafayette Instruments make lie detectors, which is still interesting – I didn’t even know they still made those. That’s kinda neat,” Longenbaugh said.
Others still in the running for bragging rights include Cool Iron Works, Old 55 Distillery, Warm Glow Candle Company and Wag’n Tails Mobile Conversions.
“I was amazed that some of the products that are manufactured here that I didn’t know about,” Kevin Breinegar, CEO of Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
