CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - White Sox fans are reacting to the team's big moves in the front office.
“I think it was time for a leadership change,” one fan said.
That was the prevailing sentiment among South Side faithful on Wednesday.
“I was expecting it but not so soon. I was hoping that they would replace them at the end of the season…Obviously, what they’ve been doing the last two years hasn’t been working,” another fan told WBBM.
Plenty more outside the ballpark echoed the same sentiments.
“I think they’re what the team needs, and they need to do more house cleaning,” said one female fan.
“We lost our rudder and now Jerry Reinsdorf has to take the helm. That sounds dangerous to me,” stated another Sox supporter.
“I respect what they did in ‘05, but now it’s kind of time for new leadership,” said a fan who was only 7-years-old the last time the Sox won the World Series.
