After receiving hundreds of responses from our audiences, the winner has been chosen: Wrigley Field. Across our social media channels, 63% voted in favor of the Cubs while 37% chose the White Sox.

Although Comiskey Park is incredible in its own right, Wrigley Field prevailed as Chicagoans preferred park.

“Wrigley Field is considered the cathedral of baseball in this country,” said Julian Green, Senior Vice President of Communications and Community Affairs at Chicago Cubs.

It’s hard not to agree, the stadium has history. Wrigley stands as the oldest National League ballpark.

“This is a ballpark steeped in heritage and tradition. When people come here, it’s just more than a game; it’s really a great experience to be a part of America’s pastime,” Green said.

Wrigley Field consists of over 40,000 seats and sits on three acres of land. It was originally constructed in six weeks.

“It has stood the test of time. The one thing that’s been constant at Wrigley Field is change,” Green said.

The stadium has undergone many changes, yet has stayed the same. Wrigley Field is one of only two ballparks that remains in its original state.
