Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Police Department has announced the arrest of 34-year-old Lamont Love of Buffalo in connection to an alleged sexual assault that occurred Sunday night at Shoshone Park.
Police say Northwest District officers responded to a call from a woman around 10:30 p.m. EST that night saying Love punched her and threw her to the ground, cutting her and causing pain and swelling. The victim also claims that Love subjected her to unwanted sexual contact.
The victim was able to fight Love off, and fled to a safe area to contact police.
Love has been charged with one felony count of sexual abuse in the first degree, one count of assault in the third degree and one count of harassment in the second degree.
