Deadly shooting inside Club Marcella in Buffalo

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred overnight at Club Marcella on Michigan Avenue.

Police say Central District officers responded to the call just after 2:30am to the 100 block of Michigan Avenue where detectives say three people were struck by gunfire inside the club during some type of argument.

A 21-year-old Buffalo male was declared deceased at the scene. Two other shooting victims were transported by ambulance to local hospitals where they were both listed in stable condition.

Club Marcella is within the Fillmore District, represented by Councilman Mitch Nowakoski. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic act of violence that took place at Club Marcella early Sunday morning resulting in the loss of life," Nowakoski stated. "I will continue to work with our local authorities, city officials and community stakeholders to ensure safety in the cobblestone district. Violence has no place in our community and I continue to remain in constant and open communication with Buffalo Police and the owners of Marcella’s as the investigation proceeds.”
