Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Fans of both the Buffalo Bisons and Toronto Blue Jays find themselves scurrying for tickets to this weekend's World Series games at Rogers Centre. One expert says if you want tickets, be ready to shell out thousands.
Nick Giammusso of VIPTix.com says prices range from $1,000-$12,000 each. "There's a lot of fans that want to go check out the games in Toronto for sure," says Giammusso. "I mean, it's the World Series, it's the Bisons affiliate, and fans are excited, and they want to see baseball in October, and it's a short trip to go to a World Series." Giammusso says prices could come down a bit closer to first pitch, but not as much as some hope.
The Bills' quick start has Bilsls Mafia thinking Super Bowl, but Giammusso says it's easier said than done to get tickets to that big game. "The way the NFL handles tickets for the Super Bowl these days, it's just a very difficult ticket to get, and a lot of the seats come out a lot later in the week, just a few days before the game, so that that makes buying tickets for the average fan nearly impossible, but there are seats available for sure," says Giammusso.
He says tickets for the Super Bowl start at $4,500, and won't come down.
Games 1 and 2 of the World Series are Friday and Saturday in Toronto.
