Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - A driver is dead after suffering an apparent medical emergency while behind the wheel on the I-290 on Monday.
Amherst Police say the driver was traveling West on the highway when the crash happened. Snyder Fire Department, Twin City Ambulance and Mercy Flight Ambulance all responded to the scene.
The driver's identity is being withheld until family members are notified.
