Nancy Brady was driving eastbound near exit 35 in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica around 8:30 p.m., when her car veered off the parkway and struck a tree — causing it to catch fire, authorities said.

Christine and Karl Ott saw the fire and took action.

They pulled over and heroically dragged Brady out of the burning vehicle, according to officials.

A police helicopter rushed her to Stony Brook Hospital in unknown condition.

State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
