
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — One person was killed in a fire at a Queens apartment building Friday morning, according to an FDNY official said.
The blaze broke out at a building located on 71st Avenue in Forest Hills at about 8:30 a.m.
According to an FDNY official, the fire was contained in one apartment that had a lot of clutter.
Authorities did not release any other information regarding the victim.
Two people were killed and two others were critically injured in a fire that broke out on Thanksgiving morning in a Bronx apartment kitchen.
The cause of both fires are currently under investigation.
