NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Two men were attacked in the subway on Tuesday morning, the latest in a slew of transit crimes in the city.

One of the victims was hit with a glass bottle and the other was slashed on the hand and arm, police said.
The first incident happened at 7 a.m. aboard an A train at 104th Street and Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park where a 25-year-old was hit in the head with a bottle by a man who appeared to be in his 30s, authorities said.
The victim suffered a cut on his head and was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The attacker, who was wearing dark clothing, fled the scene.
It was unclear what led to the attack.
A few hours later, a 36-year-old man got into a dispute with a 29-year-old woman on a northbound E train at the World Trade Center station and was slashed on the left hand and underarm, officials said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital while the woman was taken into custody with charges pending, cops said.
