NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man was shot and another man stabbed in the South Bronx on Thursday night, police said.

The violence erupted at the Saint Mary's Park Houses on Westchester Avenue, near East 152nd Street, in the Melrose section around 9 p.m.

A 33-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and a 32-year-old man was stabbed in his thigh, police said.

Both of them were taken to area hospitals and are expected to survive.

It’s unclear if the men assaulted each other or if any attackers remain at large. No suspects have been identified, according to the NYPD.

The victims are not cooperating with police, WABC reported.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
