NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A shirtless and mentally ill man with scissors slashed two men on a West Village street Thursday morning before he was cuffed by cops, according to police and officials.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call about a stabbing just after 9:30 a.m. found the victims slashed at Bleecker and Hudson streets.
They were transported to hospitals in stable condition.
Citizen App video from the scene shows a business with a shattered glass door, although it appears to be from a break-in overnight that's not connected to the slashings.

A person of interest in the slashings was taken into custody with charges said to be pending.
It's unclear what led to the assaults, but the shirtless assailant was armed with scissors at the time, police said. The scissors were recovered at the scene.
The victims were attacked separately and possibly at random, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.
The attacker is believed to have mental health issues, according to a tweet from Councilmember Erik Bottcher.
