NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A 60-year-old man was injured after he was attacked with a brick on a Harlem street Thursday in a seemingly random attack.

The victim was in front of 2245 7th Avenue on 132nd Street around 3 p.m. when he was approached by a group of people, authorities said.

One of the men in the group hit the victim in the head with a brick and closed fists causing severe lacerations, police said.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
