Seven people have been arrested in connection to last year’s Bronx car dealership shooting that left a father who shielded his kids from gunfire injured.

Those arrested this week for attempted murder are Daijon Crawford, 21, Tahari Pritchard, 20, Alexander Dorien, 20, Aaron Heredia, 21, Akeyle Baker, 22, and Zykeith Fearon, 21.

Hasani John, 22, was arrested in March on two counts each of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The dramatic incident was caught on video on Sept. 21, 2020 when three people opened fire on another person who also fired back inside an Eastchester car dealership, according to police.

Surveillance video shows Anthony Jefferson, 39, sitting nearby on a couch before pulling his three kids to the ground to shield them from the gunfire. One bullet ended up hitting him in the right thigh.

Jefferson was the only one injured in the melee, and ended up arriving at Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. But in the wake of his injury, family and friends say his situation became tough.

A GoFundMe was created for Jefferson, which said, "Due to his injury, Anthony lost his job and has to have surgery to remove the bullet.” The page sought to help with his medical bills and therapy.

After originally setting a $24,000 goal for the fundraiser, over $300,000 was brought in for the father who was originally at the dealership trying to surprise the mother of his kids with a car for her birthday.
