
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A 99-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair died after being hit by a car in Brooklyn on Saturday, police said.

The victim, Jack Mikulincer, was crossing the intersection of Coleridge Street and Oriental Boulevard when he was struck by a 2020 BMW X5 operated by a 52-year-old man, police said.
Officials arrived at the scene to find Mikulincer lying on the street with trauma to his body. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.
NYPD's Highway Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating the incident.
