
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 17-year-old boy was in critical condition Wednesday after he was shot at a Brooklyn community center on Tuesday evening, police said.
The teen was gunned down around 7:30 p.m. during an argument inside the lobby of the Major R. Owens Health and Wellness Community Center at 1561 Bedford Ave. in Crown Heights.
The center is a community space "promoting local organizations and individual growth." It features a recreation center and event spaces.

NYPD officers responding to a 911 call found the teen with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was rushed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests had been reported as of Wednesday.
The suspect is believed to be a male wearing a black Beatles shirt, black pants and red sneakers.
