NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a brutal robbery crew that attacked two young boys and a man in the Bronx this month.
In the most recent incident, a 13-year-old boy was riding his scooter near Walton Avenue and East 151st Street on March 11 around 3:20 p.m. when four men approached him and took his scooter, cellphone, wallet and $21 in cash.
The men fled northbound toward Walton Avenue, police said.
A 12-year-old boy was robbed of his cellphone at knifepoint in front of 588 Grand Concourse the day before, and the group fled southbound on Grand Concourse.
Both boys were physically unharmed in the two robberies, police said.
In their first attack, on March 9, a 39-year-old man was selling merchandise at the intersection of East 153rd Street and River Avenue when the four men removed an item from his stand and said they were not going to pay.
Police said the men fled on foot, and the victim followed them to River Avenue and East 151st Street, where they pepper-sprayed, punched and kicked him. The victim was able to recover the stolen item.
The victim experienced a burning sensation in his eyes, as well as pain and swelling to his face.
EMS removed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for treatment in stable condition.
The men remain at large after fleeing southbound on River Avenue.
