NEW VIDEO: Car sought in fatal stabbing of man, 43, after Bronx collision

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials released video footage of a vehicle sought in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man following a collision in the Bronx over the weekend.

Police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at Castle Hill Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard in Unionport on Saturday, March 26, at approximately 11:59 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers observed 42-year-old William Peralta-Diaz in front of 2162 Bruckner Boulevard with a stab wound to his right leg.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was a passenger in a 1999 Mazda 4-door sedan that was struck from behind by a vehicle seen in the video footage released by the NYPD.

According to police, the victim exited the vehicle to speak with the driver of the vehicle seen when he was approached and stabbed.

The footage also shows the unidentified vehicle eastbound on Bruckner Boulevard after the incident.

There are no arrests at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
