The 46-year-old victim was attacked by another man shortly before 8 p.m. at the turnstiles for the 1/2/3 trains at 34th Street–Penn Station.
The victim was slashed across his forehead with a sharp object, according to police.
Police said it was not a random slashing—the two men knew each other and had been exchanging drugs before heading down to the subway together.
It’s unclear what led to the slashing, but afterwards the men left the subway together and went their separate ways.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been reported.
